That said, I take issue with this graph; the data suggest that you can’t click a pen and daydream at the same time. Not so!
Ah, but you don’t want to daydream and click your pen at the same time. You see, if you’re focused on clicking your pen, you can click it at just the right frequency to prevent the teacher from noticing and getting annoyed. Whereas if you click your pen and start to daydream, the clicking frequency will increase as you think about something exciting, which will draw attention to you, and might get you kicked out of class, or get your pen discarded.
I see no problem with this consequence. It is so much easier to daydream without someone yammering away, yes?
To illustrate multi-tasking would require a Venn diagram to demonstrate simultaneous and overlapping actions. A pie chart can only deal with single actions at any time.
Hmm…pie. :p *licks lips*
I would prefer an ice cream chart, but yes, I am a bit peckish, too.
